Bands and Music
- The Avett Bros.
- Take the best traditional foot-stompin' mountain folk and let it ferment for thirty years in 150 proof ROCK and you might end up with this trio from North Carolina. One live show from these guys will have you hooked. They'll change your life.
- Langhorn Slim
- Americana coolness.
- Robbie Gil
- Formerly of Ahab Seamus, Robbie adds an intensity rarely experienced in the world of the "singer-songwriter". His songs seem like soul-bearing confessions to some higher power but without care as to what the final judgment may be.
- Waltz Astoria
- A great little coffee/tea/wine/beer cafe right in Astoria. The open mic on Wednesdays always brings in a friendly, attentive, gracious crowd along with a lot of talented performers.
- The Josh Dion Band
- A drummer who leads his exceptionally talented band with the guts of Mick Jagger, the gusto of James Brown and the chops of Keith Moon.
- Guns for the Good Guys
- The loudest band in Chicago...no, in the Midwest...in the Country...oh, what the heck, they're bobbing their heads to these guys in China.
- Paleface
- A good friend of the Avett Brothers. Great songwriter. NYC anti-folk hero.
- Just About to Burn
- Paleface's band
- Nicole Atkins
- Really sweet songwriter with an all-girl side-project called Cunt. Awesome!
- Nick Drake
- The quiet king of the sotto voce crowd. This site has tabs for almost all of Drake's tunes. Very thorough and informative.
- Dave Van Ronk
- The Mayor of Macdougal Street. Some of the meanest fingerpicking and most intense vocals ever came from this guy.
- Wilco
- It's Wilco...what can you say?
- The Sword
- Spin Magazine says, "You know how Indians used to hunt buffalo by forcing them off a cliff, and they'd fall to the rocks? That's kind of what they sound like. Kind of like a bunch of bison being pushed over a cliff." Metal is back, baby!
- The Living Room
- A great place to see quality music. If you're in NYC for a night and are looking for some place to relax and take it all in, this is it.

- Project: Theater
- The theater company I'm currently in. We have been together for two years and specialize in creating unique, refreshing, exhilerating theater experiences. Check out our web site for show info, training classes, and other cool theater stuff.
- 78th Street Theatre Lab
- A great little theater on the Upper West Side where Project: Theater will be performing in the near future. Great rates, great management, great artistic outlook.
- Vampire Cowboys
- Vampires + Cowboys = Great Theatre. 'Nuff said.
- Double Edge Theatre
- A-mazing theatre company based in Massachussetts. They live, train, and create on their own farm.
- The Hypocrites
- A talented and innovative theatre company in Chicago.
- Kathleen Baum / Biomechanics
- I took a workshop from Kathleen Baum in Biomechanics when I was in grad school. This demanding physical approach to acting was one of the best learning experiences I have ever had.
- The Wooster Group
- La Mama ETC
